Loops is a realtime video piece performed only once at the Nightingale Theatre in Chicago as part of Experiments in Realtime 2. The piece employed several methods of audio and video feedback including more traditional optical feedback (a camera pointed at a CRT) and direct digital feedback of analog to digital converters. Through combining dirty mixing, digital conversion artifacts and my Video Cutter instrument with multiple audio and video feedback loops, the system became incredibly unstable, unpredictable and consistently generating unexpected and often fleeting moments.
